How to Install eSIM on Samsung Galaxy
To add an eSIM to your Samsung Galaxy, open Settings › Connections › SIM manager, tap Add eSIM › Scan QR code and scan the QR code in your HelloRoam email. Install it at home in about 2 minutes, then turn it on when you land.

Tap Scan QR code. The scanner opens, but you will not scan.
On the scanner screen, tap Enter activation code.

How to activate your Samsung Galaxy eSIM
When you land, switch on the HelloRoam line in SIM manager, then in Mobile networks turn Data roaming on for HelloRoam and off for SIM 1, your home SIM.
Open Settings, tap Connections, then tap SIM manager to locate your installed HelloRoam eSIM profile.

- Turn on Airplane mode first, then switch on Wi-Fi. This stops your home carrier from charging roaming fees.
- Wait until you land at your destination before activating. The eSIM needs a local network to connect to.

Check the status bar. You should see at least one signal bar next to your HelloRoam line.
Open Settings › Connections › Mobile networks. Check that Data roaming is on for HelloRoam.

Which Samsung Galaxy models support eSIM?
Samsung's eSIM list covers the Galaxy S20 to S26 series, including the S25 Edge and the S23 FE to S26 FE. It names the foldables from the first Galaxy Fold and Z Flip to the Z Fold8, Z Fold8 Ultra, Z Flip8, Z Flip7 FE and Z TriFold. Samsung US also lists the Note 20 series. Galaxy A phones with eSIM include the A57, A56, A55, A54 and A37, some only in certain regions. Cellular Galaxy Tab S9, Tab S10 and Tab S11 models have eSIM too. Samsung warns that the country of origin can still rule out eSIM, so check SIM manager for Add eSIM before you buy a plan.
Where is SIM manager on Samsung Galaxy?
Samsung Galaxy SIM manager lives at Settings > Connections > SIM manager on most Galaxy phones. On older One UI versions, it may appear as SIM card manager under the same path. If you can't find it, type SIM manager in the Settings search bar and it shows up in seconds.
Can I install eSIM on Samsung without QR code?
Adding a HelloRoam eSIM to Samsung without a QR code uses manual entry via Settings. Open Settings, go to Connections, tap SIM manager, tap Add eSIM, tap Scan QR code, then tap Enter activation code. Paste the full activation code from your HelloRoam confirmation email, then tap Add. The code arrives in that email within 5 minutes of purchase.
Does Samsung Galaxy S24 support dual eSIM?
The Galaxy S24, S24+ and S24 Ultra support Dual SIM with one physical SIM and one eSIM, which Samsung calls Hybrid eSIM. Samsung lists the S25 and S26 series the same way. Keep your home SIM in the tray and add HelloRoam as the eSIM, so your home number stays active while HelloRoam carries your data. Manage both lines at Settings > Connections > SIM manager.
Why is my Samsung not reading the eSIM QR code?
Try these 4 fixes when your Samsung won't read the eSIM QR code: update One UI, confirm the phone is carrier-unlocked, clean the camera lens, and scan in good lighting at about 6 inches distance. If none work, use manual entry instead. Open SIM manager, tap Add eSIM, tap Scan QR code, then tap Enter activation code. Paste the full activation code from your HelloRoam email. If manual entry fails too, email help@helloroam.com.
Which Samsung phones do not support eSIM?
These Galaxy phones take two physical SIM cards and are not on Samsung's eSIM list: the S20 FE, S21 FE, A02, A03, A12, A13 LTE, A13 5G, A14 5G, A15 5G, A32 5G, A42 5G, A52 5G and A53 5G. Samsung US lists them as Dual Physical SIM models. Samsung also says a model on its eSIM list can lack eSIM, depending on its country of origin. To check your own phone, open Settings > Connections > SIM manager. If Add eSIM is there, it can take a HelloRoam eSIM. If it is not, that phone cannot add an eSIM.
How do I transfer eSIM from iPhone to Samsung?
You cannot transfer a HelloRoam eSIM from iPhone to Samsung once it is installed. Scanning its QR code again on the Samsung does not work, and neither does a phone's own transfer feature. Don't delete the eSIM from the iPhone. Before its first connection to a network your plan covers in your destination, email help@helloroam.com. Installing it at home does not count as that connection. We can issue a new eSIM. If we issue one, add it on the Samsung at Settings > Connections > SIM manager > Add eSIM. After that first connection, its code cannot be used again. We do not issue a new one for a change of phone.
My Samsung shows 'European SIM card only'. Can I still use eSIM?
It depends on the phone, so check it before you buy a plan. Samsung says that, depending on the country of origin, eSIM may not be supported even on a Galaxy model it lists. Open Settings > Connections > SIM manager. If you see Add eSIM, you can install your HelloRoam eSIM there. If there is no Add eSIM option, this phone cannot add an eSIM.
Which Galaxy A phones have eSIM?
Samsung's eSIM list names the Galaxy A57, A56, A55 and A37 with no region limit. The A54 has eSIM only in Europe, North America, Korea and Japan, and the A36 and A35 only in Europe, North America and Korea. The A27, A26, A17 5G and A16 5G have eSIM only in North America, and the A25 5G and A23 5G only in Japan. Older models such as the A15 5G and A53 5G take two physical SIM cards instead. To check your own Galaxy, open Settings > Connections > SIM manager and look for Add eSIM.
How do I check eSIM data usage on a Samsung Galaxy?
Open Settings, tap Connections, then Data usage, and tap Mobile data usage to see which apps use the most data. Your Galaxy counts from the start of the billing cycle you set under Billing cycle and data warning, not from the day your HelloRoam plan started. To see how much data your plan has left, open the HelloRoam app and check the My eSIM tab.
