Why We Started This eSIM Company

Your Phone Says HelloRoam

HelloRoam operates its own branded carrier identity. When you install a HelloRoam eSIM, your phone's status bar displays HelloRoam as the network name, not a local carrier.

Service Provider Name

HelloRoam provisions its own SPN in every eSIM profile. Your phone's status bar displays HelloRoam as the carrier name, just like it shows AT&T or T-Mobile on your primary SIM.

PNN

Public Network Name

The Public Network Name (PNN) is a network-name field inside the eSIM profile, defined in the 3GPP standard. Your phone can read it, along with the SPN, when it shows the name of your HelloRoam line.

APN

Access Point Name

HelloRoam's APN configuration connects your device to a local partner network at your destination automatically. iPhone and most Android devices need no manual APN setup.

On a trip to Europe, my hotel Wi-Fi was so slow and outside Wi-Fi was unreliable. I couldn’t take it anymore so I got helloroam for a few days. It was tricky to set up correctly because of the primary settings (with my original number). But I reached out to their customer service via WhatsApp. Super responsive and helpful, with specific and clear steps to troubleshoot. Appreciate having 4G roaming instead of being stuck with in and out Wi-Fi during my trip!!

Do you keep your phone number with an eSIM?

Your phone number stays with your home carrier regardless of which eSIM you add. A HelloRoam travel eSIM provides data-only connectivity and does not change or replace your existing number. Both lines run at the same time on eSIM compatible phones. You choose which line handles data in your phone settings.

Can I have two eSIMs on one phone?

Most modern smartphones can store more than one eSIM profile. iPhone XS and newer models with a SIM tray run one physical SIM and one eSIM at the same time. The iPhone 13 and later can run two eSIMs at the same time without a physical SIM. Google Pixel 7 and later can also run two eSIMs if your carrier allows it.
