Een paar dingen om te weten voordat je de QR-code scant:
- •Open de QR-code op een tweede apparaat (laptop of een andere telefoon) voordat je begint met scannen.
- •Blijf de hele tijd op Wi-Fi. Een verbinding verliezen tijdens de installatie kan fouten veroorzaken.
- •Elke QR-code werkt maar één keer. Na een geslaagde scan verloopt de code en kun je hem niet opnieuw gebruiken.
- •Verwijder de eSIM niet nadat je hem hebt geïnstalleerd. Een eSIM is niet overdraagbaar tussen apparaten, dus verwijderen betekent je abonnement kwijtraken.
Een paar dingen om te weten voordat je start met de handmatige installatie:
- •Elke handmatige activatiecode is eenmalig te gebruiken. Deel hem niet en voer hem niet twee keer in.
- •Houd een stabiele Wi-Fi-verbinding aan tijdens de installatie. Een onderbroken verbinding kan de installatie verstoren.
- •Deze eSIM is gekoppeld aan je apparaat zodra je hem installeert. Hij is niet overdraagbaar naar een andere telefoon, verwijder hem dus niet tenzij je hem niet meer nodig hebt.

5. Enter the code
Copy the manual installation code from your HelloRoam email and paste it in. Tap Continue and wait a few seconds.

- •Wait until you land at your destination before activating your eSIM. eSIM activation is automatic once you land and turn Data Roaming on.
- •Switch on airplane mode, then reconnect to Wi-Fi so your home carrier does not charge you.
- •Save this guide as a PDF so you can follow along without an internet connection.
Open Settings, tap Mobile Data, and find your HelloRoam eSIM profile in the list.
Turn on your eSIM line and switch on Data Roaming so your phone connects when you land.

- OneUI 6.0+ gebruikersOp OneUI 6.0+ staat SIM-beheer soms als 'SIM-kaartbeheer' onder Instellingen > Verbindingen.
- Dubbele eSIM-ondersteuningGalaxy S24 ondersteunt twee actieve eSIMs tegelijk. Houd je Nederlandse nummer actief terwijl je een lokaal databundel gebruikt in Japan of de VS.
- Eerst updatenMet de laatste OneUI-versie krijg je minder eSIM-fouten. Update je Galaxy voordat je op reis gaat.
Veelgestelde vragen
HelloRoam ondersteunt de Galaxy S20 tot en met S24 (Plus, Ultra en FE-varianten), Z Fold 2-5, Z Flip tot Z Flip5 en de Note 20-serie. Je telefoon heeft OneUI 3.0 of hoger nodig (Android 11+). De meeste A-serie budgetmodellen hebben geen eSIM-hardware. Controleer de specificaties van je model voordat je een abonnement koopt.
Samsung Galaxy bewaart eSIM-instellingen in SIM-beheer, te vinden via Instellingen > Verbindingen > SIM-beheer. Op OneUI 6.0 en nieuwer staat dit soms als SIM-kaartbeheer op hetzelfde pad. Kun je het niet vinden, zoek dan op SIM-beheer in de zoekbalk van Instellingen en het verschijnt meteen.
Je kunt een HelloRoam eSIM op je Samsung installeren zonder QR-code via handmatige invoer. Open Instellingen, dan Verbindingen, dan SIM-beheer, dan eSIM toevoegen en kies Activatiecode handmatig invoeren. Typ het SM-DP+-adres en de activatiecode uit je HelloRoam-bevestigingsmail. Beide codes komen in dezelfde e-mail binnen 5 minuten na aankoop.
Samsung Galaxy S24, S24+ en S24 Ultra ondersteunen allemaal dubbele eSIM, zodat twee eSIM-profielen tegelijk actief kunnen zijn zonder fysieke SIM-kaart. Ideaal voor Nederlandse reizigers naar Spanje of Japan die hun thuisnummer actief willen houden en tegelijk een lokaal databundel gebruiken. Beheer beide lijnen via Instellingen > Verbindingen > SIM-beheer.
Probeer deze 4 oplossingen: update OneUI, bevestig dat de telefoon carrier-ontgrendeld is, maak de cameralens schoon en scan bij goed licht op korte afstand. Werkt dit niet, gebruik dan handmatige invoer. Open SIM-beheer, tik op eSIM toevoegen, kies Code handmatig invoeren en typ het SM-DP+-adres en de activatiecode uit je HelloRoam-mail.
