HelloRoam eSIM plans work on Android phones running Android 9.0 (Pie) or later. Compatible models include Samsung Galaxy S20 and newer, Google Pixel 3 and newer, OnePlus 9 and newer, Xiaomi 12T Pro and 13 series, Oppo Find X3/X5 Pro, Motorola Razr 2019 and newer, and Nokia XR21. Not every Android phone ships with eSIM hardware, so check your model's spec sheet before you buy.
The eSIM setting lives in different places depending on your phone brand. On Samsung (One UI): Settings > Connections > SIM Manager > Add eSIM. On Google Pixel: Settings > Network & Internet > SIMs > Add more. On OnePlus (OxygenOS): Settings > Mobile Network > SIM Card Manager. On Xiaomi (MIUI): Settings > SIM cards & mobile networks. Each path takes under 30 seconds to reach.
HelloRoam eSIM installs on Android without a QR code using a manual activation code. Open your phone's eSIM settings, tap Add eSIM or Add mobile plan, choose Enter activation code manually, then type in the SM-DP+ address and activation code from your HelloRoam confirmation email. The process takes about 2 minutes.
An eSIM is not transferable between devices once installed. If you replace your Android phone, you will need a new eSIM plan. This is a standard GSMA rule that applies to all eSIM providers.
