5. Enter the code
Copy the manual installation code from your HelloRoam email and paste it in. Tap Continue and wait a few seconds.

Review the mobile plan details and tap Add mobile plan to finish installing your eSIM.

Activate your eSIM on Android
Before you start:
- •Wait until you land at your destination before activating your eSIM. eSIM activation is automatic once you land and turn Data Roaming on.
- •Switch on airplane mode, then reconnect to Wi-Fi so your home carrier does not charge you.
- •Save this guide as a PDF so you can follow along without an internet connection.
Open Settings, tap Mobile Data, and find your HelloRoam eSIM profile in the list.
Turn on your eSIM line and switch on Data Roaming so your phone connects when you land.

Du kan installere HelloRoam eSIM på Android uten QR-kode. Gå til eSIM-innstillingene på telefonen og trykk på «Legg til eSIM». Velg «Skriv inn aktiveringskode manuelt». Skriv inn SM-DP+-adressen og aktiveringskoden fra bekreftelses-e-posten fra HelloRoam. Prosessen tar vanligvis 3 til 5 minutter på en stabil Wi-Fi-tilkobling.
Android-telefonen din viser ikke eSIM-alternativet av fem grunner: modellen støtter ikke eSIM, Android er under versjon 9.0 (Pie), telefonen er operatørlåst, du har feil regional modell, eller programvaren er utdatert. Oppdater Android-versjonen og sjekk telefonens spesifikasjoner for å bekrefte eSIM-støtte.
De fleste eSIM-kompatible Android-telefoner støtter ett fysisk nano-SIM og ett aktivt eSIM samtidig (Dual SIM Dual Standby). Du velger hvilken SIM som håndterer mobildata, anrop og SMS i telefonens SIM-innstillinger. Du trenger ikke slå av det fysiske SIM-kortet for å bruke eSIM-data.
