Elegí tu método de instalación
Antes de escanear el código QR, tené en cuenta esto:
- •Abrí el código QR en otro dispositivo (tu computadora u otro celular) para poder escanearlo con tu Pixel.
- •Mantené la conexión Wi-Fi estable durante todo el proceso. Si se corta a mitad del escaneo, pueden aparecer errores.
- •El código QR es de un solo uso. Una vez escaneado, no puede volver a usarse.
- •No elimines la eSIM después de instalarla. Está vinculada a este dispositivo y no puede moverse ni reutilizarse.
Antes de iniciar la instalación manual, tené en cuenta esto:
- •Cada código de activación manual es de un solo uso. No lo compartás ni lo ingreses dos veces.
- •Mantené el Wi-Fi activo todo el tiempo. Perder conexión a mitad del proceso puede generar errores.
- •Una vez instalada, la eSIM queda vinculada a tu Pixel. Si la eliminás, no podés usarla de nuevo.

- •Switch on airplane mode, then reconnect to Wi-Fi so your home carrier does not charge you.

Lo que vale la pena saber sobre el Google Pixel
- Transferencia de eSIM:Al configurar un Pixel nuevo, podés transferir tu eSIM de HelloRoam de forma inalámbrica durante el proceso de configuración inicial. Atención: la eSIM de HelloRoam queda vinculada al dispositivo original y no es transferible una vez instalada fuera de ese proceso.
- eSIM dual (Pixel 9):Pixel 9, 9 Pro y 9 Pro XL admiten dos eSIM activas al mismo tiempo. Conservás tu número argentino y usás un plan de datos local en España, Italia o donde viajés.
- Configuración rápida:Android stock en el Pixel tiene la menor cantidad de pasos de configuración de todos los dispositivos Android. La mayoría de los viajeros se conectan en menos de 2 minutos.
- Usuarios de Android 15:En Android 15, el camino cambió a Settings > Network & Internet > Internet, tocás el ícono + junto a SIMs.
Preguntas frecuentes
Google Pixel eSIM es compatible desde el Pixel 3 en adelante, incluyendo Pixel 3, 3 XL, 3a, 4, 4a, 4a 5G, 5, 5a 5G, 6, 6 Pro, 6a, 7, 7 Pro, 7a, 8, 8 Pro, 8a, 9, 9 Pro, 9 Pro XL y Pixel Fold. El sistema mínimo requerido es Android 9.0. El Pixel 10 es exclusivamente eSIM, sin ranura para SIM física.
La opción de eSIM en Google Pixel 7 y modelos similares se encuentra en Settings > Network & Internet > SIMs > Add SIM. En Android 15 (serie Pixel 9), el camino es Settings > Network & Internet > Internet, donde tocás el ícono de más junto a SIMs. Si no lo encontrás, buscá 'SIM' en el buscador de Ajustes.
Podés instalar una eSIM de HelloRoam en Google Pixel sin código QR. Andá a Settings > Network & Internet > SIMs > Add SIM y elegí ingresar el código de activación manualmente. Escribís la dirección SM-DP+ y el código que recibiste en el correo de HelloRoam. Los pasos varían levemente según la versión de Android, pero la opción manual está disponible en todos los Pixel compatibles.
Google Pixel 9, 9 Pro y 9 Pro XL soportan eSIM dual, es decir, dos perfiles de eSIM activos al mismo tiempo sin necesidad de SIM física. Perfecto para viajeros que van a España o Italia y quieren conservar su número argentino mientras usan datos locales. Los Pixel 8, 7 y 6 admiten una eSIM más una SIM física. Administrá las SIMs en Settings > Network & Internet > SIMs.
Las eSIM de HelloRoam quedan vinculadas al dispositivo original y no son transferibles una vez instaladas. Los Pixel 7 y modelos posteriores permiten una transferencia de eSIM inalámbrica durante la configuración de un dispositivo nuevo. Si la transferencia automática falla, contactá al soporte de HelloRoam y el equipo emite un código QR nuevo en un promedio de 2 horas.
HelloRoam verifica la compatibilidad con eSIM en tu Pixel abriendo Settings > Network & Internet > Mobile network y buscando la opción de eSIM o SIM. El Pixel 9 es compatible con eSIM en todos los operadores de Argentina y del mundo. También podés buscar el número de modelo de tu Pixel en el sitio de soporte de Google para confirmar la compatibilidad antes de comprar un plan.
