Google Pixel 7 eSIM Compatible: Set Up Your Pixel eSIM

Google says every Pixel 4 and later works with eSIM, right up to the Pixel 10 and Pixel 11 series. Older models come with limits. A Pixel 3a bought with Verizon service, or bought in Japan, has no eSIM. A Pixel 3 bought with service from a US or Canadian carrier other than Sprint or Google Fi has no eSIM, and neither does a Pixel 3 bought in Australia, Taiwan or Japan. On the Pixel 2, only phones bought with Google Fi service work with eSIM. In the US, the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro and Pixel 10 Pro XL use eSIM only, with no physical SIM tray.

On Google Pixel, the eSIM option sits at Settings > Network and Internet > SIMs. Tap Add SIM, then Set up an eSIM. Can't spot it? Type SIM into the Settings search bar instead. Every SIM and eSIM on your Pixel is managed from this same SIMs screen.

Any Pixel from the Pixel 3a on can also mix a physical SIM with an eSIM, the exceptions being a Pixel 3a bought in Japan or with Verizon service. American Pixel 10 and later models run on eSIM only, bar the Pixel 10 Pro Fold. You'll manage both lines under Settings > Network and Internet > SIMs.

No, you can't move an installed HelloRoam eSIM to another Pixel. The wireless transfer option in Pixel setup won't shift it across, and scanning the QR code again doesn't work either. Don't delete the eSIM from your old Pixel. What counts is its first connection to a network your plan covers at your destination, not installing it at home. Email help@helloroam.com before that first connection and we can issue a new eSIM for your new Pixel. After that first connection, its code can't be used again, and we don't issue a new one for a change of phone.

Yes, unless it's an American model. Google says the US Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro and Pixel 10 Pro XL have no physical SIM slot and run two active eSIMs instead. The Pixel 10 Pro Fold still has a nano SIM slot, and a Pixel 10 bought elsewhere, the UK for example, takes one nano SIM plus one eSIM. Whichever Pixel 10 you have, it works with eSIM, and HelloRoam plans for it start at €0.89.

Yes. Google says eSIM works on every Pixel 4 and later phone, which includes the Pixel 6, Pixel 6 Pro and Pixel 6a. Any of them can run a physical SIM and an eSIM together, so your Eir, Vodafone Ireland or Three SIM stays in the tray while HelloRoam works as the eSIM. You add it at Settings > Network and Internet > SIMs > Add SIM, and the Pixel must be unlocked for a HelloRoam eSIM.
