You're crossing borders often, your route might change, or you just want one install for the whole trip.
Pick local plans when
You're spending most of your trip in one or two countries. Add up a local plan for each one and compare that total with the regional plan.

Crossing borders with a regional plan

  • The eSIM keeps working as you cross into another country on its list. Leave data roaming on for the HelloRoam eSIM line and there's nothing to switch at the border.
  • In a country that's not on the list, the eSIM won't have data. Check the list before you book.
  • One QR code covers every country on the list, so you only install the eSIM once.

Can one purchase handle travel through Europe and Asia?

Yes, the HelloRoam Global plan does. It covers 127 destinations on a single eSIM, including 43 in Europe and 20 in Asia. The Europe and Asia plans are separate, with 33 and 19 destinations. The Global plan is fixed data only, from A$19.42 for 1GB, 7 days.

Is Turkey part of the Europe plan?

Read the destination list on each e SIM plan on this page. Or type the country into the search box at the top to see every plan that covers it. The Europe plan lists the United Kingdom and Switzerland, for example, but not Turkey. A trip that ends in Istanbul needs the Turkey plan, or a regional plan that lists Turkey: the Middle East and Global plans.

Do some countries use up regional data faster?

No. You pay once for the e-sim plan, and its data counts the same in every country on the list. A 10GB plan gives you 10GB in total, to use in any of its countries. It doesn't reset at the border.
