Question 1

How do I get the eSIM code?

Accepted Answer

HelloRoam delivers your eSIM discount code by email and on the promo page once your order is confirmed. Enter HELLO5 in the Promo Code field at checkout, then click Apply. The 5% saving drops from your total straight away, with no minimum spend. The code works on any plan across 185+ countries, from a weekend break in Lisbon to a month in Bangkok.

Question 2

What is the TRIPLE10 promo code?

Accepted Answer

The TRIPLE10 code gives 10% off eSIM plans at some providers. HelloRoam's own eSIM promo code HELLO5 gives 5% off any plan across 185+ destinations. Type it in the Promo Code field at checkout and click Apply. Your discounted total shows before you pay, so you can confirm the saving before completing your order.

Question 3

Can I add more data to my eSIM?

Accepted Answer

Yes. HelloRoam lets you top up data in the app, on the eSIM you already have. Open the app, pick your active eSIM, and choose a top-up. There is no new QR code and no second profile to install, just extra data and days added to your existing plan. Use eSIM discount code HELLO5 for 5% off each top-up.

Question 4

Can I buy an eSIM without a plan?

Accepted Answer

HelloRoam sells eSIM data plans, not physical SIM chips. Your phone already has an eSIM chip built in, including iPhones from the XS onward (2018) and most Android handsets released after 2020. Pick a destination, choose a data size from 3GB to 20GB, and buy your plan. HelloRoam sends a QR code so you can activate your e SIM instantly. No card, no kiosk, no fuss.

Question 5

Can I get an eSIM without a contract?

Accepted Answer

HelloRoam eSIM plans require no contract, no monthly commitment, and no subscription. Buy a prepaid data plan, use it on your holiday, and you are done. Plans start at £0.77. eSIM activation takes about 2 minutes via a QR code scan on any compatible handset. Apply eSIM promo code HELLO5 at checkout to save 5% on your first plan.

Question 6

Can I purchase eSIM directly?

Accepted Answer

HelloRoam lets you buy an e-sim directly from the website or app in minutes. Pick your destination, choose a plan from 3GB to 20GB, and enter eSIM discount code HELLO5 for 5% off at checkout. Your QR code arrives right after payment. Scan it to activate your eSIM data plan and start using local network speeds across 185+ destinations.

Question 7

Can I use my eSIM to share a hotspot?

Accepted Answer

HelloRoam eSIM plans support mobile hotspot sharing on compatible handsets. Switch on Personal Hotspot in your settings and other devices connect through your phone's data. Hotspot use drains data more quickly than solo browsing, so a 10GB or 20GB plan gives you more headroom for sharing. Check your device supports hotspot before you buy.

Question 8

Can you top up data on an eSIM?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Top up your eSIM in the HelloRoam app, on the plan you already have. Open the app, choose your active eSIM, and select a top-up. There is no new QR code needed, and the extra data and days add to your existing plan. Just top up before your plan expires, since an expired plan cannot take one. Use eSIM coupon HELLO5 for 5% off each top-up.

Question 9

Does an eSIM give you a new phone number?

Accepted Answer

HelloRoam eSIM does not give you a new phone number. It adds a data-only connection on a separate line alongside your existing UK SIM. Keep your physical SIM active for calls and texts whilst the eSIM handles internet access. This setup is brilliant for travellers who want fast data abroad without changing their home number or juggling two phones.
