Cairo has 4G LTE coverage across its main tourist, commercial, and residential districts, with Vodafone Egypt, Orange Egypt, and Etisalat Egypt (now e&) all operating in the city. Downtown Cairo (Wust el-Balad), Zamalek Island, and Mohandessin have reliable 4G on all three networks. The Giza plateau has outdoor 4G at the main visitor entrance, along the Sphinx viewpoint, and at the sound-and-light show area. The Egyptian Museum on Tahrir Square has outdoor 4G in the main plaza. Khan el-Khalili bazaar in Islamic Cairo has 4G coverage throughout. Coptic Cairo, including the Hanging Church and the Ben Ezra Synagogue, has solid outdoor 4G. Heliopolis and Nasr City have consistent 4G across commercial and residential corridors. Cairo International Airport (CAI) has full 4G in all terminal buildings. The Cairo Metro lines 1, 2, and 3 have 4G at most underground stations, with some signal loss in the deepest tunnel sections. New Cairo and Fifth Settlement have 4G in commercial areas. Saqqara, the step pyramid site south of Cairo, has outdoor 4G at the main visitor entrance but limited signal at remote sections of the site. Desert routes beyond the greater Cairo area and into the Western Desert have limited or no mobile coverage.
