Brunei has two main mobile operators: DSTD (Datastream Technology) and Progresif. Both provide 4G LTE across Bandar Seri Begawan, Seria, Kuala Belait, and main roads connecting these towns. Brunei's small size makes national coverage relatively achievable compared to larger neighbors.
BSB has strong 4G throughout the city center, the waterfront Kampong Ayer water village, the Omar Ali Saifuddien Mosque area, and the main shopping malls. The Jerudong Park and Royal Brunei Polo and Riding Club area on the northwest coast have 4G coverage. The coastal highway between BSB and Seria has consistent signal.
The Temburong district is Brunei's eastern enclave, separated from the main country by Sarawak, Malaysia. It is accessible by speedboat along the Brunei River or via the new Temburong Bridge (Sultan Haji Omar Ali Saifuddien Bridge, opened 2020). Coverage in Temburong has improved with the bridge opening, but the Ulu Temburong National Park's deep jungle areas remain without mobile signal. Bangar town in Temburong has 4G.
