Chile has three main operators: Entel Chile, Movistar Chile (Telefónica), and WOM. Entel has the widest 5G and 4G network and is consistently ranked as Chile's best network for speed and coverage. Movistar has strong urban coverage and expanding 5G. WOM is known for competitive urban pricing with solid 4G in major cities.
Santiago has strong 5G coverage from Entel and Movistar across the entire metropolitan area. The city center, Providencia, Las Condes, Miraflores, and the airport are all well covered. Valparaíso and Viña del Mar have excellent 4G. The Atacama region around Calama, Iquique, and San Pedro de Atacama has 4G in the towns but no signal in the vast desert flats and salt plains between them. San Pedro de Atacama town has solid 4G.
Torres del Paine National Park in Patagonia has very limited coverage. Puerto Natales (the nearest town) has 4G. Inside the park, signal is absent or minimal on most trails including the W and O circuits. Download offline maps of all Patagonian trails before entering the park. Easter Island has basic 3G to 4G from Entel in Hanga Roa. The Moai sites around the island have patchy coverage.
