Mitte, the historic heart of Berlin, has dense 5G and 4G across Alexanderplatz, the Brandenburg Gate, Unter den Linden, and Museum Island. The Reichstag, the Holocaust Memorial, and Potsdamer Platz all have strong outdoor 4G and 5G. Kreuzberg and Neukolln have solid 4G throughout their main commercial streets. The East Side Gallery along the Spree riverbank has reliable outdoor 4G. Checkpoint Charlie, Hackescher Markt, and the Scheunenviertel are all well-covered. Prenzlauer Berg, Friedrichshain, and Pankow have consistent 4G and 5G in their commercial and residential zones. Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER) has full 4G and 5G in Terminals 1 and 2. The Berlin U-Bahn (underground metro) has variable coverage: overground and elevated sections are well-covered, while deep tunnel sections between stations can lose signal. Best Time to Visit Berlin
Berlin's best travel months are May through September. June and July are warm and long-daylight months with temperatures around 22C to 26C. Berlin's outdoor culture fully opens: beer gardens, canal-side bars, and open-air festivals. The Berlin International Air Show (ILA) in June and outdoor concerts at Waldbuhne are major draws. August is peak tourist season with the highest hotel prices. September has excellent weather and hosts the Berlin Marathon and Internationale Funkausstellung (IFA). May is excellent for fewer crowds and spring flowers at Tiergarten and Charlottenburg Palace gardens. April can still be cold, around 12C to 16C, but Berliners emerge for outdoor activity after winter. Winter (November to February) is cold, dark, and atmospheric. December's Christmas markets at Gendarmenmarkt and Spandau are among Germany's most impressive. January and February are the quietest and cheapest months in the city.
