Lisbon has 5G coverage across the city center, Parque das Nações (the Expo area), Oriente station, Baixa-Chiado, and the Marquês de Pombal area. NOS, MEO, and Vodafone all operate 5G in Lisbon. 4G LTE covers the full city and surrounding metro area including Cascais, Sintra, Setúbal, and the south bank (Almada and Cacilhas).
Alfama, Mouraria, and the historic hilltop neighborhoods (bairros históricos) have solid outdoor 4G and 5G. Indoor coverage in very old stone buildings can be lighter, but remains usable. Belém and the Tagus riverfront are fully covered. LX Factory and the Alcântara area have strong 5G.
The Lisbon Metro has partial coverage on some lines. The yellow line (Rato to Odeivelas) and the blue line (Reboleira to Santa Apolónia) have coverage at above-ground and shallow stations. Deep underground sections at stations like Marquês de Pombal and Baixa-Chiado have limited signal. Above-ground tram routes (especially the famous Tram 28 through Alfama) have full 4G and 5G throughout.
The Lisbon waterfront (Cais do Sodré, Terreiro do Paço) and the Tagus ferry terminals have strong coverage. Ferries to Cacilhas and Almada maintain 4G near both banks. The Tagus crossing itself has coverage from shore towers for most of the short trip. Indian travellers should check that their handset supports the network frequencies used at this destination.
