Vienna has strong 5G coverage across the central districts and 4G LTE in all 23 Bezirke. The first district (Innere Stadt), which contains St. Stephen's Cathedral, the Hofburg, and the Ringstrasse, has dense 5G from all three operators. Naschmarkt in the sixth district, the MuseumQuartier in the seventh, and Prater in the second all have reliable 4G and 5G.
Vienna International Airport (VIE) at Schwechat has 5G in the terminals and connects directly to the city via the CAT (City Airport Train). The CAT route has 4G coverage for most of the 16-minute journey. The Vienna U-Bahn has 4G at all stations and on platforms, and most lines maintain signal in the tunnels between stations. U1, U2, U3, U4, and U6 all have indoor coverage at stations.
The Naschmarkt, Schönbrunn Palace grounds, Belvedere, and Vienna Prater (home of the Riesenrad Ferris wheel) all have solid outdoor 4G and 5G. The Vienna Woods (Wienerwald) on the city's western edge has 4G along marked hiking trails but weaker signal in dense forest areas. The Danube Island (Donauinsel) recreation park has 4G along the main paths and beach areas.
Inner-city shopping streets including Mariahilfer Strasse and the Kärntner Strasse pedestrian zones have 5G from multiple operators. Indoor coverage in Vienna's famous Kaffeehäuser (coffeehouses) is generally solid given the density of urban infrastructure. Singapore-based travellers should verify their handset supports the local 4G and 5G bands.
