Boston has strong 4G and 5G coverage across its main neighborhoods and university corridors, with T-Mobile, AT&T, and Verizon all competing for density in the city. Downtown Boston, Government Center, and the Financial District have dense 5G from all three carriers. Beacon Hill, Back Bay along Newbury Street, and the South End all have reliable 4G and 5G. The Freedom Trail walking route from Boston Common to the Charlestown Navy Yard passes through outdoor areas with consistent 4G throughout. Fenway Park and the Kenmore Square corridor have strong outdoor and indoor 4G, with AT&T and Verizon providing DAS coverage inside the stadium. Cambridge, across the Charles River, has dense 4G and 5G around Harvard Square, MIT's campus in Kendall Square, and along Massachusetts Avenue. The Kendall/MIT area in Cambridge is particularly well-covered given its tech corridor concentration. Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) has full 5G across all terminals including the international terminal E. The MBTA Green Line has coverage at outdoor and street-level stations, but underground tunnel sections between downtown stops can drop signal. The Red Line between Harvard and Alewife is primarily above-ground and well-covered. South Station and North Station have strong indoor 4G and 5G as major transit hubs. The Charlestown Navy Yard, the Boston Harbor waterfront, and the Seaport District all have solid outdoor 4G.
